The sixty-one orphans of the Bamenda based, Good Shepherd Home orphanage, Abongoh, including the management of the orphanage were all smiles on Friday October 30, when the proprietor of Dr FRU’s Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation, Dr. FRU Richard donated ten bags of rice and eight cartons of powdered milk to them.

Presenting the most needed gifts, Dr. FRU stressed that his foundation has been reaching out to the needy decades ago, but kept it a secret. He said finally God told him to make his philanthropic activities public so that other needy ones could call his attention to their plight.

Traditional healer and founder of the Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation in Buea, Dr. Richard Fru, has said some conventional doctors want traditional practitioners suppressed. "We have a cordial relationship with some conventional doctors who are well informed about traditional medicine but we face resistance from others who are so pruned to the conventional medicine that they have sealed their minds against traditional medicine. Such conventional doctors have been mounting pressure on government to suppress traditional doctors, but they are fighting a lost battle," says the tradi-practitioner.

Dr. FRU's Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation has continued its humanitarian gesture to some underprivileged and needy social welfare institutions.
After the Buea Central prison last Saturday 18 July where the Institute donated 12 bags of rice to the inmates, Wednesday 22 July 2009 was the turn of the Hephziah Handicapped Orphanage and Training Production Ecstasy Centre, HOTPEC in Mile 14 Dibanda, Buea sub division.
